Palma Ceia continues to develop connectivity solutions focusing on new emerging wireless standards.

Our engineering teams are committed to providing solutions for the emerging Wi-Fi and cellular marketplace. Our experienced RF design teams work to produce low-power, robust solutions.

Advantages of Palma Ceia technology include:

Low Power: IoT devices, especially those that are sensor focused, will typically run on battery power. Specifications define a number of special functions to reduce power consumption. But for the RF portion, low-power design techniques and optimizations must be applied during the architectural and design phase to make sure the transceiver operation is at the lowest power. Palma Ceia uses directed design practices and methods to achieve low-power operation. Our transceivers deliver optimal performance for the power expended, ensuring a long operational lifetime.

High Performance: Building margin into a design in the RF area is essential to maximize operation performance in the field. The environments for IoT and M2M RF applications are varied, and often hostile in terms of temperature, attenuation of signals and movement. Building adaptive features into the transceiver is critical to react to these varied environments. Design techniques also provide for configuration and trimming so that the transceiver can operate in a centered region to maximize performance. Palma Ceia design practices and methods provide an important foundation for robust design.

Small Area: The RF space limitations in IoT and M2M applications from pallet tracking to wearables are severe. Restricted packaging is often the limiting factor in the deployment of an IoT device. Palma Ceia has developed transceivers with a small and optimal footprint. The small size of the RF component enables systems OEMs to construct end products with small form factors to fit into the tightest application spaces. Different packaging options allow for the best selection for each application area.
